I've been gaming (that's tabletop roleplaying for the uninitiated; pen, paper, and dice) since I was 12 years old. Started with red box D&D Basic. Since then, I've played and/or run core D&D 1st/2nd/3rd/4th (briefly) editions, Deadlands Classic, World of Darkness (new), Exalted, Alternity, Shadowrun, Gamma World (classic and d20), among others. I also do the dreaded WoWarcrack.

Lately what I've been playing most is the new World of Darkness. I've been running a Vampire: the Requiem chronicle for the last 5 years, with some occasional side trips into Mage: the Awakening and Requiem for Rome.
I usually end up running rather than playing, sad to say, no matter what the system. Woe, etc. I've done some freelance game writing a few years ago, and I'm trying to get back into it.
